Possible brace-free syntax?

Martin dropped an interesting PR this morning, presenting an experimental alternate syntax for Scala that replaces most use of braces with indentation instead, a la Python.

I’m personally not a fan (and mention why in comments there), but it’s unarguably an important experiment, on a topic that has been discussed on and off for years. I strongly recommend checking it out.

Usual caveat, but more important than usual: this is just an experimental PR, presented for everybody to consider and talk about. It’s worth chiming in if you have an opinion, but please don’t freak out — this is a long, long way from actually going into Scala 3.
