Possible Infix Changes

Today’s Dotty News isn’t even a PR yet, just an idea under discussion: whether to significantly tighten up the rules around infix operators and symbolic identifiers — pulling some common (but not universal) best practices into the language itself, formalizing the notion of “infix operator”, and seriously restricting the rules around symbolic names.
